- Improvement in Attendance
On Wednesday, September 27, 2017 Lynette Vazquez, a 5th grade student at Adelanto Elementary School, was presented with the Rotary Club’s S.T.A.R. award and a gift card at their luncheon. The student is also asked what they want to be when they grow up; Lynette answered that she wants to be a surgeon when she grows up.
Mrs. Zillner, Lynette’s teacher wrote the following introduction that was read at the Rotary Club’s meeting:
“Lynette is a conscientious student who always strives to achieve her very best. She is attentive to her work, completing it with accuracy and pride. She is a model student for her peers to look up to and to emulate. She is a natural leader. She is also highly respected by her peers. She rarely misses school, but when she does, she completes all of her assignments. She comes to school with a great attitude, is willing to work hard, and to learn. I nominate Lynette for STAR Student Award from the Adelanto Rotary Club.”
