California Department of Education- Nutrition Services

The California Department of Education (CDE) provides leadership on and support of nutrition services to enhance the health, well-being, development, and educational potential of California’s children, adults, and families.
The State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson, has initiated the Team California for Healthy Kids campaign to promote good eating habits and physical activity throughout the day, every day, in schools, before and after school programs, childcare programs and communities.
