Facilities and Planning
Adelanto School District is growing.
In 2005 we opened two new schools; Columbia Middle School which has the distinction of being one of fifty schools in the United States that is a NASA Explorer School and Victoria Magathan Elementary School which is named for a renowned educator who served the Adelanto School District for over thirty years.
West Creek Elementary School opened in August of 2006. West Creek is located in the middle of a brand new development and we look forward to serving this new community of families.
Two expansions opened in August of 2006. A two story classroom building was added to Morgan Kincaid Preparatory School of Integrated Studies to assist with the growth in the Victorville area. Two classroom buildings, some portables, and a locker room were added to Columbia Middle School to assist with the growth in Adelanto.
The District is currently designing five new schools and a District Office renovation. We will be building schools in El Mirage, Victorville, and Adelanto over the next two to three years. We are excited about our growth and thankful for the foresight of our Assistant Superintendent of Business, Mr. Robert Burch, in planning new schools.
The Facilities and Planning Department is also responsible for the collection of builder fees:
- Residential Rate $3.84 per square ft.
- Commercial Rate $0.27 per square ft.
Please make payments to Victorville Union High School District separately and take receipts from both the Adelanto School District and Victor High School District to the city for your permit.
