Welcome Morgan Kincaid Preparatory School Families,
Hi, my name is Kristen Cooper, and I am the proud principal of Morgan Kincaid School. This year is my ninth year as principal and eighteenth year overall at Morgan Kincaid. I am excited for the new year! I enjoy watching our students grow and learn throughout their elementary years and I look forward to working with each and every one of you to ensure our students have a successful year. With a strong home and school connection our students are sure to reach new heights and successfully navigate any challenges that may lie ahead. Last year we were happy to be on campus, but still struggled with returning from distance learning, masks, quarantines, and all of the other COVID restrictions. We look forward to continuing the momentum we started and bringing back events on campus.
Our mission at Morgan Kincaid Preparatory School is to provide rigorous access to learning which will inspire our students as they become college and career ready. Our students will develop character traits which will serve as their foundation in growing into compassionate, contributive, and competitive members of a global society. In order to achieve our mission we are a certified AVID Elementary School. AVID supports students in setting goals and helps equip students with the skills and study habits to be successful lifelong learners.
In addition to implementing AVID, Morgan Kincaid Preparatory School strives to provide a safe learning environment for all students. Morgan Kincaid is the proud recipient of the platinum level recognition for PBIS, a positive based intervention and supports system. Through PBIS students are taught the importance of respect, responsibility, and safety and provided the supports they need to become good citizens.
