COVID-19 Vaccinations

Last Updated: 2/25/2021 7:59 PM

The COVID-19 vaccine is gradually becoming more available. Because the vaccine distribution process is determined by local public health authorities, the specific details for how and when people can get the vaccine vary by county and state.

The County of San Bernardino has set a phone and e-mail to answer questions for County residents on setting an appointment or questions about a vaccine: (909) 387-3911 or coronavirus@DPH.sbcounty.gov.

All San Bernardino County residents ages 65 and over are now eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Pfizer vs Moderna

Basic differences have to do with the spacing between 1st and 2nd doses (Pfizer 21 days, Moderna 28 days), storage (Pfizer has to be stored at much colder temperatures), effectiveness (Pfizer 95%, Moderna 94.1%) and age range approved for vaccination (Pfizer 16+, Moderna 18+).
