Dear Mesa Linda Middle School Community,

Welcome back to the 2020-21 school year! My name is Elizabeth Zinda Hansen and I am your new Vice Principal at Mesa Linda this year.   I hope you find yourselves rested and renewed from our pandemic break and ready to return to Mesa Linda with a heartiness and passion that will help us tackle our newest challenge yet: Distance Learning.  This is a new and exciting venture that all of Adelanto Schools have adopted and embraced, and as you learn more about how it specifically works best for you and your family, we are here to support your scholar in their Learning Plan and Pathway.   I am sure that you will be as excited or nervous as we are in moving forward with this new initiative, until the right time comes for us to safely return to schools.  As we move into this new year, take confidence that our Bulldog Scholars are primed, focused, and more motivated than I have ever seen them before when faced with a challenge, in becoming masters of their own learning experience.  This is in part, due to the hard work and dedication our staff provides to our scholars and the way that we treat each child just like family; we take pride in the fact that our school and staff is supportive of the whole child.  Many of our Bulldog Teachers, Administrators, and Classified Staff continued to work collaboratively over the summer refining teaching units, completing background prep work and systems refinement for our new way of learning.  Our community certainly thanks them for their dedication to our school.  As one of their educational leaders, I want to express my sincere appreciation of their commendable actions in demonstrating “whatever it takes” to ensure the successful transition our Bulldog scholars will experience this year with new guidelines and new teaching initiatives for students, parents, and the community collectively.  For our new families, we cannot wait for you to experience the sense of community and family that we experience each and every day at Mesa Linda, we cherish the fact that our scholars support each other in their scholastic journey no matter if they are a 6th, 7th or 8th grade leader!  We take pride in working together daily for the benefit of all.   At Mesa Linda Middle School, we know that you can choose anywhere to send your scholar to school; we are so very thankful that you have chosen us to guide, care for, raise up, and educate your child in a collective partnership with you.  Go forth Bulldogs….and Lead the Way!  We hope that you enjoy this upcoming year at Mesa Linda Middle School.
