As we opened our doors to welcome back your child, I had the opportunity to visit schools during the first two weeks. Seeing you bring your child to school for the first time in over a year was inspirational to see: holding your child’s hand, taking photos, waving goodbye, looking thru the fence as your child met their teacher and classmates while walking away to their classroom.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to say thank you for trusting us with your child and thank you for being a partner in your child’s educational experience.
This time of year, we get the opportunity to take a moment to reflect and to focus on the good in our lives. I am mindful of the sacrifice, dedication and love you have for your child and family. We are still in the middle of a pandemic, as such, some of our families are in need during this holiday season. I wanted to take the opportunity to share with you High Desert Holiday Resources:
Some of these events require a registration/reservation. Please view and download the High Desert Holiday Resources:

The holidays can also bring added anxiety and stress. The District supports the well-being of all students, staff and family members through a service, Care Solace. If you are looking for mental health, please contact Care Solace:
And if you are looking for something to help you relax and cope, the District has a Virtual Wellness Center where you will find activities and videos to help you with self-care:
Again, thank you for making the Adelanto Elementary School District a special place. I am grateful for trusting us with your child’s development and growth. As long as your child is healthy, please encourage showing up to class when school is in session. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as connect to peers and their teachers.
We look forward to seeing you again when school resumes on November 29, 2021.
Have a wonderful holiday season with family and friends!
